GOBL Presents Rat Rios, Tomkat, Francine Thirteen (Photos by Nick Scholl)


I thank Nick Scholl for taking these lovely photographs from my showcase at The Underpass earlier in February. The photos, however, do not tell the full story. The photos cannot show the unique intensity of the ritualistic performance of Francine Thirteen. No picture appropriate demonstrates the live skills of Tomkat. And no matter how good a photographer Mr. Scholl is, his camera cannot capture the beauty of Rat Rios‘ voice. Still, Nick’s photography does manage to capture much of the beauty in the performers and the performance.
