Sunday Spotify Sixteen Squared: Part II

sundayspotify16squaredpart2

I suppose I can no longer say it’s a Sunday Spotify Sixteen, being Monday and all.  Still, I wanted to share the remainder of these playlists with you.  I’ll admit, these playlists were ordered alphabetically by artist.  Normally, The Ghost prefers to order the songs in such a way that there’s an ebb and flow to the playlist.  Due to the mass quantity of songs selected, this time the easy way will be taken.

I would still encourage some discussion regarding your favorite Texas songs of the 21st century thus far.  I’m still planning on a Memorial Day Weekend countdown.  Don’t make The Ghost do it alone.  Talk to the Ghost and tell him your opinion.  Now. where were we?  Oh yeah, time to travel back to the year…

  • The Ghostified Gathering For a week or so, Festify was all the rage on social media. It was an app that created fictitious festival lineups based on one’s Spotify listening habits. One could create a lineup based on the most listened to artists over the course of a month, six months, or one’s entire time on Spotify. The [...]
  • Monday Mixteen: 4/29/19 I had some ideas of what to cook up for today’s Monday Mixteen, but I just couldn’t figure out the right musical ingredients for the playlist.  On top of that, The Ghost just didn’t feel like serving up the dish of a carefully curated themed playlist.  So I did what people do when they’re lazy [...]
  • Monday Mixteen: 4/22/19 This coming Saturday evening has plenty of shows worth seeing. The Bralettes and Acid Carousel will perform at The Foundry. Crooked Bones is headlining a cool show at Division Brewing that also features Posival. If you’re looking to hang in Deep Ellum, you can catch Maya Piata at Harlowe, or head over to Adair’s to [...]
  • Monday Mixteen: 4/15/19 Most of my Monday Mixteen playlists have some sort of theme.  The sixteen tracks selected have a loose musical connection to them.  All of the songs are within what I would refer to as “rootsy” music.  What exactly does that mean?  To me, it means anywhere along the musical spectrum that contains Americana, country, blues, [...]
  • Monday Mixteen: 4/1/19 You may be aware that this weekend is the Deep Ellum Arts Festival, and that Deep Ellum Radio has its own Artist’s Court Stage this year. You might have even heard that The Ghost is curating his own day’s worth of music on said stage. So yes, this is gonna be a good year for [...]
