So, we’ve gone through #101-71, #70-51, and #50-41 on the year end countdown. All that remains is the Top 40 songs of the year, which shall be revealed Sunday afternoon on Deep Ellum Radio, starting at 3 PM CST. But I’ll bet some of you are wondering which artists will make the Top 40. Well, I’ll give you a hint of sorts. Since The Ghost has such a love of games and puzzles, I have designed a special word search featuring all forty artists in the countdown. Here’s the catch: there is no word bank, so you have to find them on your own.
If you’re an artist that’s name is in the word search, do The Ghost a favor and put a photo of your name circled on Instagram. You can either do a screen shot, or for the old school physical word search fans, print a copy out of the word search and take a photo of your print out. Tag it with #ghost2018countdown and also tag yours truly in the photo. Let’s Make America Search for Words Again!
For those wanting to participate, here are some things to know:
- Artist name can be found horizontally, vertically, and diagonally. All artist names will either be spelled left to right or up and down; no names will be backwards.
- Any band names beginning with the word “The” (i.e. The Beatles, The Who) will be listed without the word “The” in front.
- Any singers with a backup band (i.e. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) will be listed without the backup band. Sorry, backup musicians.
- Any bands whose name appears to be a singer with a backup band but isn’t (i.e. Echo and the Bunnymen) will have the full name listed, including “and the”.
With that being said, let the games begin!
